After your purchase agreement is signed, and you have met with your lender, the next step is to make sure the title to the real property is clear. Lenders require a Title Insurance Commitment to be completed so that they can be assured of being in a first lien position after the closing. If you decide to pay cash for a property, and no lender is involved, we research the title to the property and issue an Attorney’s Title Opinion regarding the title. Either document is a great way to assure that you are getting a good title to your new property.
